At PeCHE (Peruvian Children’s Health and Education), our purpose is to break barriers to education and health for children in underserved communities of Peru. We work to ensure that every child has access to the tools, care, and support they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
Through our programs, we:
Equip schools with essential resources like books, technology, warm clothing, and shoes.
Improve learning environments by supporting classrooms, clean water, and healthy facilities.
Deliver vital healthcare services including medical checkups, vaccinations, dental care, and mental health support.
Provide nutrition programs that guarantee balanced meals for students every day.
Empower communities by partnering with teachers, healthcare workers, and families to create sustainable, culturally rooted solutions.
Together, we are building healthier, stronger communities where children can dream bigger and achieve more.
In the mountains of Ayacucho, many children walk long distances to school, often without warm clothing or proper shoes to protect them from the cold. At PeCHE, we couldn’t ignore this reality. With the support of our community, we began collecting warm clothing and shoes, bringing comfort and dignity to children who deserve so much more.
But our work doesn’t stop there. We are now laying the foundation for a plan to improve small rural schools in Ayacucho — creating safer classrooms, clean spaces, and stronger learning environments where children can truly thrive.
These first steps are just the beginning of a journey filled with hope, compassion, and determination to change lives, one child at a time.
